Friendzy Implementation Guide Check List

establish your friendzy team lead

We need each other! Use the Friendzy Lead Team Guide as a map for building your dream team of Social Emotional Character Development (SECD) superstars to plan a year of Friendzy together while offering support to Friendzy educators throughout the school year. Teamwork makes the dream work!

determine your what + why

To garner buy-in from your teaching team for Friendzy, it is imperative to have a strong grasp on the what and why of SECD. Together with your Friendzy Lead Team, define the what and why of SECD in a way that aligns with your school's culture and community as well as communicates the collective SEC growth you envision.

Integrate secd into your regular staff rhythms

Friendzy is for adults too! Use the Friendzy PD-at-a-Glance Planner as a tool to help you successfully integrate SECD into your regular rhythms through designated professional development sessions and staff meeting activities.

Equip and Empower Friendzy Educators

Use the Friendzy Training Facilitator's Guide to put together a comprehensive Friendzy SECD Inservice that meets the unique needs of your school staff. Educators should leave this initial Friendzy Session with an understanding of how to implement Friendzy at the classroom level.

Continuously Improve

Plan to connect as a Friendzy Lead Team at least twice in the school year to review the PD-at-a-Glance Plan, school reports (if opted in to student assessments), discuss observations and feedback, and to create action steps for any needed course correction.
