You First Object Lesson

you first object lesson

(biblical)

The objective of this lesson is to encourage students to adopt the mindset of a leader when it comes to relationship building: putting others first.

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this lesson is to inspire students to embrace a Christ-like approach to building relationships: prioritizing the needs of others above our own.

In this lesson, you will discuss the concept of "leaders eat last."

The objective of this lesson is to encourage students to adopt the mindset of a leader when it comes to relationship building: putting others first.

Popularized by the US Marines the “leaders eat last” concept aligns with the Friendzy Catchphrase, "You First," and aims to reinforce the idea that putting others' needs before your own is an essential quality of a good leader and a good friend.

By applying the "leaders eat last," students are encouraged to build friendships proactively by taking the initiative to make others feel welcomed, included, and valued. In doing so, they mirror the qualities that Jesus demonstrated during His earthly ministry: compassion, humility, and the ability to uplift and inspire those around Him. Just as Jesus washed His disciples' feet and put their needs before His own, we are called to emulate this sacrificial love in our interactions with others.

Key Verse:

“Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”
